Kelly J. Bishop

Hastings resident, Kelly J. Bishop, 26, passed away Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Bryan LGH West Hospital; Lincoln, NE. Services will be Thursday, July 16, 2009 at 10:30 AM at the Lakeside Community Church of the Nazarene, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Gerald Schwab officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Kelly was born January 23, 1983 in Hastings, NE to Jerry Bishop and Cindy (Reed) Littlefield. He graduated from Hastings High School in May of 2002. On May 25, 2007 he married his soul mate, Amity Gotchall. He worked most recently at Central Community College, Hastings College, the Hastings Tribune, Walgreens and the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, all in Hastings, NE. Kelly was a member of the Lakeside Community Church of the Nazarene, Hastings, NE. He enjoyed listening to music and praising his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was preceded in death by his grandparents William and Alice May Bishop, and Harry and Alice Reed, 1 Aunt, Kim Reed and 1 Uncle, Tom Reed. He is survived by his wife Amity, his father, Jerry and stepmother Patricia, step-son Matthew all of Hastings, NE, daughter, Abby of Ord, NE, mother Cindy Littlefield of Oklahoma, aunt, Sandy Kelley of CA, uncle, Steve Reed of KS, 1 brother, Michael Wilson and 1 sister, Ashley Wilson, and half sister Elsie Amanda Marie Combs of Omaha, NE, and many other family and friends. Memorials may be given to the family.
