John R. Miller

John R. Miller, 59, of Grand Island died Monday, Feb. 3, 2014, at home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Pauls Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Bill Pavuk officiating. Burial will be in the Grand Island Cemetery at Grand Island.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Miller.

Mr. Miller was born on July 3, 1954, in Grand Island to Robert M. and Louise M. (Degen) Miller.

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Louise M. Miller, and several cousins.

He grew up in Grand Island and received his education at Grand Island Senior High, graduating with the Class of 1972. In his younger years, he was employed at Golden Point Drive-In and later with Overhead Door.

He was a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Platt-Duetsche Society and Liederkranz.
