Glen Tucker

February 13, 1923 — June 15, 2017

Dr. Glen Tucker 94 years old, died June 15, 2017 at Good Samaritan Society Village in Grand Island. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at Apfel Funeral Home, Grand Island with the Rev. Jim Garfield officiating. Visitation will be at Apfel Funeral Home from 4-7 PM on Monday the 19th of June. Private burial will be at a later date. Memorials suggested to AseraCare Hospice or Good Samaritan Society in Grand Island, NE. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family. Lunch will be served at the funeral home immediately following the service.



Glen was born on February 13, 1923 in Greenbrier, Arkansas. He graduated from Greenbrier High School, Little Rock Junior College and Carver Chiropractic College in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.



He practiced Chiropractic in Arkansas several years before moving to Nebraska in 1966. He practiced in Lexington, Kearney, Auburn, Broken Bow and Grand Island before retiring in 1989. As a young teen Glen became legally blind. He however did not let that prevent him from achieving many things in his life.

Glen felt especially blessed that he found his wife, Georgianne. They shared much joy and peace in their later years.



Survivors include his wife, Georgianne Husen Tucker, three sons and their wives, Dr. Thomas and Sandra Tucker of Kearney, Scott and Debra Tucker of Colorado and Tracy and Renee Tucker of Ainsworth and daughter-in-law Louan Wynn of Platte City , Mo., nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was his wife of 51 years, Mary Edna Tucker and a stepson, Larry Dean Wynn.
