Hastings resident, Gary Lynn Struss, 57, of 723 South Kansas, died Thursday, April 17, 2008 at Bryan LGH West, Lincoln, NE. Services will be Wednesday, April 23, 2008 at 2 PM at the Brand-Wilson Chapel. Burial will be in the Kenesaw Cemetery, Kenesaw, NE. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 22, 2008 from 12 noon to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Gary was born February 19, 1951 to Jasiel and Ada Katrina (Weber) Struss in Hastings, NE. He had lived in Hastings all his life. He married Kathleen Rupprecht on July 16, 1971 they later divorced. He worked at Wal-Mart in Hastings, as an auto mechanic. He was a member of the Eagles Aries #592 and the Knights of Pythias both in Hastings, NE. He enjoyed working on drag and stock cars. He was a natural born mechanic. If you were a stranger to him, it was only because he had not met you yet. He is survived by 1 daughter, Christina Struss of Minden, NE, 1 son, James of Fischer, TX, 5 grandchildren, Zachery and Dalton Struss of Hastings, NE, Kathleen, Gunner and Levi Espenhover, all of Minden, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be given to the family.
