Florence L. Krull

Florence L. Krull, 83, Of Grand Island died Monday, May 19, 2014, at Brookefield Park Care Center in St. Paul.



Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Thursday, May 22, 2014, at First-Faith United Methodist Church in Grand Island. The Rev. Matt Fowler and Rev. Douglas Poole will officiate. Private family burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.



Visitation will be from 4 to 7 P.M. Wednesday at Apfel Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to First-Faith United Methodist Church.



Florence L. Krull was born August 10, 1930, at Merrick County, Nebraska to George and Louise (Vogt) Wiegert. She grew up in Merrick County and graduated from Grand Island Senior High School in 1949.



Florence moved to Grand Island in 1955 where she married LaVern J. Krull on October 2, 1955.



Florence worked at the Cornhusker Army Ammunition Plant and later as a quality assurance inspector for Ore Ida Foods in Grand Island for 15 years. She retired from that position in 1993. She then served breakfast at Gates Elementary School.



She was a member of Faith United Methodist Church and served as a Red Cross volunteer.



She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Lucille and Donald Poole of Grand Island; her brother and sister-in-law, Delbert and Marlene Wiegert of St. Libory; a sister-in-law, Bea Southard of Grand Island and numerous nieces and nephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, LaVern and one brother, Robert.
