October 16, 1925 — February 28, 2019

Eugenia I. Mieth, 93, of Grand Island, NE died on February 28, 2019 peacefully at her home. Memorial services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, March 7, 2019 at Resurrection church in Grand Island, NE with Father Joe officiating. Inurnment will be in the Mount Pleasant cemetery in Cairo, NE. Visitation will be at 10:00 AM prior to the service. Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.

Eugenia was born on October 16, 1925 in Teutopolis, IL to Louis and Rosa (Uptmore) Hess. She grew up in Teutopolis, receiving her education there.

Eugenia was united in marriage to Walter Mieth on April 11, 1958 in St. Louis, MO. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Grand Island.

Eugenia was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church. She enjoyed reading, quilting, gardening and spending time with family.

She was preceded in death by both parents; husband, Walter; two brothers; and five sisters.

Eugenia is survived by her son, Daniel Mieth; daughters, Barbara Mieth and Linda (Mark) Mack; and granddaughter, Tiffany Mack.
