Esther Marie Brandon

Esther Marie Brandon, 85 of Doniphan, died Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at CHI Health, St. Francis in Grand Island.

Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 16, 2015 at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island, with the John Markworth officiating. Burial will be in Cedarview Cemetery, Doniphan, NE. Visitation hours will be one hour prior to service time on Friday at Apfel Funeral Home, Grand Island. Memorials are suggested to the family. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family.

Esther Marie Brandon was born October 15, 1929 in Eufaula, Oklahoma the daughter of Robert & Bertha (Brown) Buie. She received her education in Eufaula, Oklahoma area, graduating from Eufaula High School.

She was united in marriage to Jimmie Brandon, August 21, 1954. The couple made their home in Ohio where they owned a Dry Cleaning business prior to moving to Doniphan, Nebraska in 1972. She dedicated her life to loving and caring for the family.

She was a member of Beran Bible Church in Hastings, she volunteered many hours to the work of the church. Her love for the Lord and everyone she met was evident. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Jim Brandon of Doniphan,NE, Linda Brandon of Farwell, Nebraska, Deborah & John Markworth of Grand Island, David Brandon Ft. Lauderdale, FL, 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her spouse, Jimmie Brandon, son, Mark Brandon, parents, two sisters, Helen Davis, Roberta McQuay, two brothers, Lester Buie and LeRoy Buie
