Ellen M. Steele

Ellen Mae Steele, 53, of Kearney, NE died October 7, 2022 at CHI Health Good Samaritan Hospital. Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church in Kearney, NE October 17, 2022 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Sean Dougherty officiating. Interment will be at the cemetery in Wood River, NE at 4:00 PM. She was born December 8, 1968 in Grand Island, NE to Leland and Leona Reeder. She grew up in Shelton, NE and received her education at Shelton Public Schools. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Kearney, NE and enjoyed being part of the church family. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her children, sitting in the sun, listening to audiobooks, drinking chai lattes, and playing with animals.

Ellen is survived by her son Craig Schutt; and her daughters Tiffany Gawrych and Bethany Gawrych. She is preceded in death by her sister-in-law Connie Reeder and her mother Leona Reeder/Schleiger.
