Dawn Marie Lammert

Dawn Lammert, 50, of Grand Island, passed away Thursday, March 5, 2020 with family by her side.

Memorial services will be 11 AM Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island with a visitation taking place one hour prior to the service.

Dawn was born to her late maternal mother Marlene Bird on July 20, 1969. Later adopted by Bill and Kathy Juhl of Atlantic, IA.

Anyone who had the pleasure of knowing Dawn in her short time here knew she was one of a kind. Willing to help anybody she could if they were in need. If you were looking for a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear, she was always there. Forever able to look on the bright side of things, a sense of humor that was something else and an infectious laugh that was music to your ears. Dawn managed to overcome every obstacle that was thrown her way and always came out stronger on the other side. Even though stubborn to the very end, that was one of her many qualities.

In her free time, she liked spending time with her friends, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.

It’s never goodbye, just see you later and her family finds comfort in knowing Marlene and Steven welcomed her with smiling faces and open arms.

Dawn is survived by her daughters, Seaira Gutierrez and Breonna Lammert; parents, Bill and Kathy Juhl; siblings: Rick Baxter, Lance Reisma, D.J. Reisma, Denny Juhl, Lisa Jones, Heather Vandutten, Debbie Juhl and Darla Sandbothe; grandchildren, Aydon Whaley and Justice Guterriez; along with many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by mother, Marlene Bird, love of her life, Steven Kuhn and brothers, Danny and David Juhl.
