At our Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home location, Harvard, NE. Harvard resident, David Reinhold Schueler, 79, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010 at the Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, NE. Services will be Tuesday, June 15, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the First United Methodist Church, Harvard, NE with the Rev. Dean Joy officiating. Burial will be in the Harvard Cemetery, Harvard, NE with military rites. Visitation will be Sunday, June 13, 2010 from 12 noon to 5 PM and Monday, June 14, 2010 from 12 noon to 9 PM at the Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home, Harvard, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. David was born December 24, 1930 to Reinhold Babe and Viola (Krug) Schueler in rural Inland, NE. He graduated in 1948 from the Harvard High School and moved to Lincoln, NE shortly thereafter. He was drafted into the army during the Korean Conflict. On January 25, 1952 he married Billee Finke, they resided in Lincoln, NE. He was employed by the Burlington Northern Railroad at the Havelock Shop for 45 years. After retirement, he and Billee moved back to Harvard, NE, spending winters in Yuma, AZ. On May 21, 2010 David and Billee moved into the Harvard Rest Haven, Harvard, NE. He was a member of the the First United Methodist Church, in Harvard, NE, and a lifetime member of the Harvard VFW. He is survived by his wife Billee of Harvard, NE, 2 brothers, Karl and wife ArVera of Clay Center, NE, and Wesley and wife Opal of McKinleyville, CA, sister-in-law, Darlene Schueler of Stockton, CA, 2 brother-in laws, Robert and Bert Finke, 2 sister-in-laws, Beverly Mcelravy and Beth Grubbs and daughter Amy Moore and husband Scott of CA, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother Duane. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church in Harvard, NE.
