Connie "'Connie'" M. Robison

Constance M. Connie Robison, 83, of Grand Island died Friday, February 13, 2015, at her home.

Services will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at Apfel Funeral Home. The Rev. Darrell Holzinger will officiate. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Grand Island. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 P.M. Tuesday at the Apfel Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the family.

Constance Mae Connie Robison was born March 3, 1931, at North Loup, Nebraska the daughter of Charles Johnson and Dorothy McCune Johnson. Connie grew up and attended grade school in North Loup and completed her primary education at Alliance, Nebraska. She attended Nebraska Wesleyan College where she earned her bachelors degree. She taught school in Whitman and later in Hyannis.

Connie married Mylus E. Robison on June 26, 1954, at Lincoln. Connie continued to teach in Polk, and later in Nebraska City. They later made their home in Lincoln where they both spent several years as teachers. Connie also taught in North Platte for the time they lived there. She decided to substitute teach in the years she raised her children, and returned to full time teaching in Doniphan when her children reached high school age. She completed her teaching career with the Doniphan Schools.

She was a member of Eastern Star, D.A.R., as well as two sororities. She and Mylus were avid tourists. They enjoyed caring for the plants and flowers in their yard, feeding the birds and hunting Indian arrowhead artifacts.

Survivors of the immediate family include, two sons; Jim Robison of Omaha, Nebraska and John Robison of Rapid City, South Dakota, two daughters & son in law; Janet Axt of Grand Island, NE and Joyce & Jim Porter of Plattsmouth, Nebraska, ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and one granddaughter, Lisa Ann Gregory
