Hastings resident, Claudia Jeanette Heil, 60, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Services will be Monday, November 23, 2009 at 11 AM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings, NE. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Sunday, November 22, 2009 from 12 noon to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Claudia was born November 3, 1949 to Vern and Lila (Avers) Gilbert in Fairfeild, NE. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1967. She married Richard Heil on February 26, 1971. Claudia was a co-owner of Richard Heil Roofing & Siding and she owned and managed several rental properties in Hastings, NE. Claudia enjoyed remodeling homes and had a love for quilting. She enjoyed caring for her 2 chihuahuas. She is survived by her husband Richard, of Hastings, NE, 1 son, Darren Heil of Hastings, NE, 2 daughters, Denise and husband Lewis Carpenter of Kansas City, MO and Destiny and husband Mike Nyberg of Lincoln, NE, and 8 grandchildren, her mother Lila Gilbert of Hastings, NE and 3 sisters, Patty and husband Tom Griffith of Hastings, NE, Dixie and husband Jerry Decker of Wichita, KS, and Dawn and husband Hugo Fragoza of Hastings, NE. She was preceded in death by her father, Vern Gilbert. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
