Cheryl Fay Lade

Cheryl Lade, 74, of Grand Island died on Monday, February 7, 2022 at her home.



Memorial services will be at 2 PM Saturday, February 12, 2022 at the Destiny Church in Grand Island with Pastor Tim Rust officiating. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation.



She was born on August 27, 1947 in Lynch, NE to Ralph and Vera (Wilson) Wurtz. She grew up in Spencer, NE and graduated from Spencer High School. She was united in marriage to David Tamayo on June 20, 2003 in Grand Island, NE. After which the couple lived in Grand Island where she was employed by Hamilton Telecommunications. She also lived in North Carolina and Kentucky. She was also employed by Walmart in Grand Island.



Cheryl enjoyed spending time with her friends, going out to eat, and cooking for her husband. Her family and Christian faith were very dear to her heart.



Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, David Tamayo; daughter, Brenda Necker; grandchildren, Jaden and Raina Necker; and brother, Dan Wurtz and wife Jean.



She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Vera.
