Caroline E.M. Plambeck

Juniata resident, Caroline Elizabeth Marie Plambeck, 92, passed away, Monday, October 24, 2011 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings, NE. Services will be Thursday, October 27, 2011 at 2 PM at the Zion Wanda Lutheran Church, near Juniata, NE with the Rev. Harold King officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Wanda Churchyard Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 26, from 9 AM to 6 PM at the Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home, Kenesaw, NE and one hour prior to service time at the church. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Caroline was born January 5, 1919, to Elwin John and Amanda Marie (Berndt) Nienhueser in rural Holstein, NE. She was baptized on January 19, 1919 and confirmed on April 9, 1933, both at Zion Wanda Lutheran Church, near Juniata, NE. She graduated from Holstein High School in 1937. She married Wilfred L. Plambeck on November 3, 1940 at Zion Wanda Lutheran Church. Caroline and Wilfred moved to rural Juniata after their marriage and farmed for 60 years. Wilfred passed away September 7, 1991. She was a lifelong member of Zion Wanda Lutheran Church, the Zionetz-LWML and sang in the choir for many years. She is survived by one daughter, Beverly Bohlke and husband John Ulrich of Lincoln, NE, two granddaughters, Saraugh Fitah and husband Mostafa of Boston, MA, Susannah Bohlke, of New York, NY, one great-granddaughter, Bayan Caroline Fitah, one step-granddaughter, Alyssa Brouwer and husband Ben of Lincoln, NE and one step-grandson, Eric Ulrich of San Francisco, CA, and two step-great-grandchildren, Olivia and Sophia Brouwer, and one sister Elvera Leopold of Lincoln, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wilfred, one sister, Neola Kuehn, two brothers, Albert and Wilferd Nienhueser, and one son-in-law, Brent Bohlke. Memorials may be given to the Zion Wanda Lutheran Church, near Juniata, NE.
