Former Hastings resident, Carol L. (Cassel) Cauley, 62, died February 8, 2008 in Centennial, Colorado. Services will be Wednesday at 10:30 AM at the Brand-Wilson Chapel with the Rev. Carl Rehwaldt officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, in Hastings, Ne. Carol was born May 25, 1945 to Emerson and Leahdele (Hoyt) Cassel in Fairbury, NE. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1963. She was very creative and loved crafts. She is survived by, 1 daughter Tonya Buhrman of Nunn, CO, her parents, Emerson and Leahdele Cassel of Hastings, NE, 2 brothers, Stan Cassel of Kearney, NE, and Ed Cassel of Hastings, NE, 1 sister Ruth Hohnstein of Centennial, CO and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 1 sister, Jeanine Cassel. Memorials may be given to the family.
