August 30, 1928 — September 8, 2010

Hastings resident, Beverly V. Morris, 82, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010 at her home. Services will be Monday, September 13, 2010 at 11 AM at the First St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Joel Remmers officiating. Private family burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Friday, September 10, 2010 from 5 PM to 9 PM, Saturday, September 11, 2010 from 12 noon to 5 PM and Sunday, September 12, 2010 from 12 noon to 5 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE and one hour prior to service time at the church. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Beverly was born August 30, 1928 to Dwight and Elsie (Kumm) McDaniel in Wood Lake, NE and moved to Hastings, NE in 1944. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1946. She married Gerald R. Morris on July 3, 1947. Beverly had worked for the Hastings Public Schools in the cafeteria, J.C. Pennys and Kresge all in Hastings, NE. She was confirmed and was a member of the First St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE and the Lutheran Women. She enjoyed growing flowers in her yard. She is survived by her husband Gerald R. of Hastings, NE, a daughter, Pamela Morris of Huntington, West VA, and three sons, Gerald A. Morris and wife Ginger of Minden, NE, Craig P. Morris and wife Mary of Lenexa, KS and Robert W. Morris and wife Linda of Kearney, NE. Four grandchildren, Christopher, Allison, Steven and Jason and one great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister Meredith, two Aunts, Ethel McDaniel and Ida Masters. Memorials may be given to the Hastings Food Pantry or the donors choice.
