Hastings resident, Alice B. Schellhouse, 95, passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village. Services will be Friday, February 19, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the First St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Thursday, February 18, 2010 from 9 AM to 9 PM with the family present from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Alice was born February 22, 1914 to Gust and Annie (Hove) Hanson in Watertown, South Dakota. She was baptized April 19, 1914 and confirmed at the Grace Lutheran Church in Watertown, South Dakota. She graduated in 1933 from the Watertown High School. She married Elmer Schellhouse on June 30, 1944, he passed away in 1999. She was a secretary and court reporter for the Municipal Court for the city of Watertown, South Dakota. She was a member of the First St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE, and taught Sunday school there, and was a member of the WELCA womans church group. Alice enjoyed sewing, reading and being a homemaker. She is survived by 1 daughter, Marilyn Wilhelm and husband Paul of Dannebrog, NE, 1 granddaughter, Kim Noack and husband Eric of Wichita, KS, and 1 grandson, Nathan Wilhelm of St. Paul, NE, 1 sister-in-law, Evelyn Hanson of Foley, MN and 1 nephew, Gary Hanson of Clear Lake, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Elmer, and 1 son Richard Schellhouse. Memorials may be given to First St. Pauls Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE .
