Hastings resident Alice A. Simmons, 91 died Friday, September 14, 2007 at Perkins Pavilion, GSV, Hastings, NE. Services will be Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 2 PM at the First Baptist Church, Hastings, NE, with the Rev. Larry Harvey officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Monday, September 17, 2007 from 9 AM to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hastings, NE and one hour prior to service time at the church. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Mrs. Simmons was born November 19, 1915 to Fred and Margaret (Attwater) Dinnell in Superior, NE.The family moved to McCook briefly then they moved to Hastings, NE where she graduated from Hastings High School. She married Merle Elmer Simmons September 1, 1934; he passed away April 19, 1976. She was employed at the Hastings Regional Center for 31 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She is survived by, grandchildren and spouses, Brian and Tammy Consbruck, of Juniata, NE, Brent and Liza Consbruck of Anchorage, AL, Cindy Consbruck of Lincoln, NE, Pam Consbruck of Dearfield Beach, FL, Julie Walker of Kearney, NE, Debra and Mark Roskilly of Haysville, KS, Eric Simmons of Portland, OR, and Lori Gustafson of Hastings, NE. Brothers and spouses, Robert and Joyce Dinnell, and Louis and Erma Dinnell all of Hastings, NE. She was preceded in death by, her husband, Merle, 1 son, Charles Simmons and 1 daughter, Alice Mae Consbruck, and son-inlaw- Leo Consbruck, 2 brothers, Paul Dinnell and infant brother Kenneth, and 2 sisters, Margaret Gustason and Annabelle LeBar. Memorials may be given to the family.
