Former Campbell resident, Wilma Ruby Feis Lutz died June 4, 2009 at Newbury Park, CA. Service will be Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at 10 AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Hastings, Ne with the Rev. Dr. William Nottage-Tacey officiating. Burial will be in the Cambell Presbyterian Cemetery, Campbell, NE. Visitation will be Monday, June 8, 2009 from 5 PM to 9 PM with the family present from 6 PM to 8 PM, at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Wilma was born to Louis and Kate Feis in Hildreth, NE. She lived on a farm northest of Campbell and graduated from Campbell High School in 1931. Shortly after graduation she attended Kearney State Teachers College where she received her teaching certificate and began her teaching career in rural schools of Campbell, NE. In 1936 she married Russell Lutz and together they would celebrate life to the fullest. They would live a short while in Laramie, WY and McCook but Campbell would always be where they called home. There they would raise three boys and Wilma would again pick up her teaching career in 1954 teaching in Campbell grade school. In 1956 they moved to Ctrete where Wilma taught at the local grade school and began her studies at the University of Nebraska where she received her bachelors degree in 1961. Moving in 1962 to Lincoln she continued to teach until she retired in 1978. In 1979 Wilma and Russ moved back to Hastings making that home until Wilma moved to CA to live close to her son Larry, following the death of her husband Russell on December 31, 2004. Wilma was a devoted wife, loving mother and caring grandmother. Wilma was one that always had a big beautiful smile and a huge loving heart. She will be greatly missed by her sons, She is survived by her two sons, Larry and Dale, five grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Russell, her youngest son Denny, two brothers, 4 sisters and one great grandchild. Memorials may be given to the Kenneth Joyce Foundation, PO Box 1261 Glastonbury, CT 06033, Kenneth Joyce was a great grandchild of Wilma who passed away in 2008.
