Theodore "Ted" G. Wiese

Theodore “Ted” G Wiese, 67, of Shelton, NE, died November 30, 2018. Please, come help us celebrate his love of life at 10:30 AM Monday, December 10, 2018, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Shelton with Father Jorge Canela celebrating. A time of gathering with the family at the church will be 6:30 PM Sunday with Devine Mercy Rosary at 7:30. Memorials are suggested to the family for later designation. Apfel Funeral Home is assisting the family.



Theodore “Ted” was born June 25, 1951 to Raymond and Olive (Coufal) Wiese at Humphrey, NE. He grew up in Columbus NE. Ted was a hard worker and traveled a lot for his job and enjoyed the freedom of the road. As a road maintenance manager in the state of Kansas, he ran with his crews all over the state and loved being the “go to” man for his job. He moved back to Nebraska about 5 years ago to be closer to family, and because of his love for the great state of Nebraska. We appreciate how the people of Shelton embraced him and made him one of their own.



He loved to hunt, fish and camp whenever he could get away from work. He could also tell you where the best places were to hunt in Kansas and where they are catching the biggest fish in any season. He was also born with the love to dance, every campfire, family gathering and really any other opportunity, Ted would start dancing- even when there was no music. He always had a good beat going on in his head. He was a true romantic and ladies’ man. He was always ready to give a great neck massage or spin a lady around on the “dance floor.” He was always good for a laugh, animal lover, and avid cyclist. Ted’s generous nature lives on as he was an organ donor.



Ted’s pride and joy were all of his nieces and nephews. The kids all knew him as their crazy Uncle Ted (he also was a kid at heart). He would do anything for them. He was always bragging about them and he could tell a thousand stories about their adventures with him.



With Jesus in his heart, Ted left his family to celebrate his life, brothers: Pat (Susan) Wiese of CA, Tim (Pat) Wiese of SD, Steve (Tracy) Wiese of NC, Chuck (Julie) Wiese of Shelton, NE; sisters: Mary (Jeff) Searcy of Lincoln, NE, Theresa (Tom) DeLaet of Minden, NE, and Cindy (Alan) Martin of ND; and many nieces and nephews.



He was met in heaven by his parents, Ray and Olive Wiese.
