Stanley B. Jones

Garland, Texas resident, Stanley B. Jones, 83, died, Thursday, July 30, 2009 at the Baylor Hospital, Garland, Texas, after a lengthy illness. Services will be Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at 2 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings; NE. Burial will be in the Juniata Cemetery with military rites. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 AM up till service time in the chapel. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Stan was born to Genevieve (Jean) and William (Skinner) Jones on April 19, 1926 in Clay Center, NE. Stan served his country during WWII as a radar man in the U.S. Navy, aboard the USS FonDuLac. He married Maxine Stolzenburg on Feb 17, 1957. He worked and retired from Kansas Nebraska Gas Company in 2001and they moved to Texas. He is survived by his daughter Bonnie Dieken of Royse City, TX. Granddaughter Sheila Buschardt and husband Carter of Liberty, MO, Grandson Alan Dieken & wife Kathy of Crandall, TX.. Five great grand children; Rachel Palmer and husband Matt, Audrey Merten, Stephanie Buschardt, Derrick Dieken, Hunter Dieken and one great great grand daughter Sydney Palmer. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Maxine. He will be missed by a host of friends and family. His words of wisdom "A man is not judged by what he gets out of life but what he gives it." He will be remembered by all who knew him.
