Sharon "Syd" A. Powell

Hastings resident, Sharon (Syd) A. Powell, 75, passed away Monday, October 5th, 2015 at her home, with her husband of 61 years by her side.



Graveside service will be Friday, October 9, 2015 at 3 pm at Parkview Cemetery, Hasting with Chaplin John Mueller officiating. Book signing will be from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm with family present at the Apfel Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Hastings is in charge of the arrangements.



A memorial in her name will be established.



She married Lloyd Dale Powell on October 2, 1954 in Papillion, NE.



She is survived by her husband Dale, two daughters, Vicky (Dan) Kenley and RaQuel (Bob) Davis and two sons Randy L. Powell and Lloyd (Diane) Powell Jr. and adopted son Matteo Powell, guardian of Andrew Borges, 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren, her mother, Darlene Thein, brother Doug (Monica) Strohl and sister Jane Dowse.
