Patricia A. Dubbs, 68, of Cairo died Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at CHI Health St. Francis in Grand Island

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at St. Marys Catholic Church in Wood River with Rev. Jorge Canela officiating. Interment will be at Cameron Cemetery in Wood River. Visitation will be on Monday evening, November 13, 2017 from 4 to 6 pm with a 6 pm Rosary Service at St. Marys Catholic Church in Wood River. Memorials are suggested to the GRACE Foundation or to St. Marys Catholic Church. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family

Patricia was born on April 1, 1949 in Kearney, NE, the daughter of Eugene and Irene (Gibbons) Macek. She grew up in Ravenna, graduating from Ravenna High School with the class of 1967. She was united in marriage to David Dubbs on September 18, 1971 at Our Lady of Lordes Catholic Church in Ravenna. The couple made their home in Wood River where Patricia was a homemaker and helped on the family farm.

Patricia was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church in Wood River. She enjoyed gardening, baking and decorating cakes, helping on the farm and especially time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband David Dubbs of Cairo, son & daughter-in-law Kevin & Chasity Dubbs of Wood River, daughters & sons-in-law, Michele & Darrell Pittman of Wood River, Tracey & Jason Czarnick of Hershey, NE, 10 grandchildren, Kalon Czarnick, Alex Czarnick, Darian Czarnick, Clayton Pittman, Dillon Dubbs, Zach Pittman, Karissa Czarnick, Andrew AJ Pittman, Cooper Dubbs & Zane Czarnick, brothers & sisters-in-law, Donnie & Bev Macek, Kenny & Janell Macek, Joe & Lela Macek, sisters & brothers -in-law, Dee & Steve Landers, Tammy Kirchau & Bob Ryan.

He was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene & Irene Macek, uncles, Dennis Gibbons & Paul Gibbons
