Hastings resident, Max Vernon Fleharty, 59, died September 3, 2008, at Perkins Pavilion, GSV, Hastings, NE. Services will be Saturday, September 6, 2008 at 10 AM at the Brand-Wilson Chapel in Hastings, NE with the Rev. Alan Davis. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings; NE. Visitation will be Friday, September 5, 2008 from 12 noon to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE and up till service time at the chapel. Max was born May 3, 1949, to Vernon and Eva (Tucker) Fleharty in Hastings, NE. He lived in Hastings all his life. He attended Hope School, and Mid-Nebraska Individual Services, Hastings, NE. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Hastings, NE. He is survived by, 4 brothers, Gerald and wife Cindy of El Paso, TX, Eugene and wife JoAnn of Hayes, KS, Lynn and wife Marlys of Colorado Springs, CO, and Lyle and wife Diann of Hastings, NE. 1 sister in law, Elfi Fleharty of Hastings, NE, numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother Harold. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to Good Samaritain Society, Hastings, NE.
