At Our Alberding-Wilson Location, Harvard, Ne. Harvard resident, Mary E. Schumm, 69, passed away, Tuesday, November 24, 2009 at Bryan LGH East, in Lincoln, NE Services will be Saturday, November 28, 2009 at 2 PM at the United Methodist Church, Harvard, NE with the Rev. Dean Joy officiating. Burial will be in the Harvard Cemetery, Harvard, NE. Visitation will be Friday, November 27, 2009 from 12 noon to 9 PM at the Alberding-Wilson Funeral Home, Harvard, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Mary was born January 12, 1940 to Paul and LaVeta Ann Mary (Hartman) Fielder in Hastings, NE. She grew up in the Lawrence-Deweese, NE area on a farm until she was 8, then the family moved to a farm in Harvard, NE. She graduated from the Harvard High School in 1957. She was a homemaker. Mary was a person that welcomed you in to her life with open arms. She was a wonderful person to many people who knew her. She was known as Momma Schumm or Grandma Schumm to many special people around Harvard, NE. Mary liked spending time with her family, kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved cooking for her family. She is survived by her children, Vicky Todd and Charlotte Thole both of Kearney, NE, Diane Noack and husband Daniel of Harvard, NE, LaVeta Critser and Darren Forbes of Juniata, NE, Julie Johnson and husband Orin of Hastings, NE, Darrel Schumm, Sharon Hart and Eric Kissell, Melissa Schumm and Joshua Stromer all of Harvard, NE, 25 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 brother Vernon Fielder of Aurora, NE. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, 6 brothers, 1 sister, 1 son, Paul, 1 great grandson and 1 great granddaughter. Memorials may be given to the family.
