Marcelline M. Lovell

April 20, 1918 — October 24, 2016

Hastings resident, Marcelline M. Lovell, 98, passed away Monday, October 24, 2016 at the Blue Hill Care Center.



Rosary will be at 10:30 am, Thursday October 27, 2016 at St. Michaels Catholic Church, with a Mass of Christian burial following the rosary at 11 am with Father Michael Houlihan officiating. There will be no visitation. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Marcelline was born April 20, 1918 to Andrew J. and Elsie (Seyler) Willmes in Otis, CO. As a small child she lived in North Platte moving to Hastings in the 1920s. She attended St. Cecilias grade school and graduated from Hastings High in 1935. She married Thomas Richard Dick Lovell on December 10, 1938, Dick died on September 6, 1989.



Marcelline worked many years at the F W Woolworth Company retiring as assistant manager.



She was a member of the St. Michaels Catholic Church, Hastings and was in the Alter Society and the Elks Club #159 Does, the Eagles, and American Legion all in Hastings.



She is survived by son Tom of Hastings and her daughter Sharon of Omaha, grandchildren, Michael Gergen and Kendra Fitzgerald of Omaha and Kerra Gergen and husband William Howze of Reading, PA, great grandchildren, Beau Gergen, Gabrielle and MacKenzie Gergen, step great grandson, Nicolas Trocha , great great grandchildren, Marissa and Connor Gergen, sister

Jacqueline Williams of Evergreen, CO, nephews, Randy Williams and wife Sue of Nelson, NE, Richard McClenahan and wife Connie of Hastings, William Lovell of New York, sister in law, Wilma Lovell of Honolulu HI, Agnes Lovell of Palm Springs, CA, and beloved cat Slater.



She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dick, and infant sister, Kathleen, brother in-laws, Basil Williams, Robert, James, Jack Lovell and two sister in laws, Margaret McClenahan and Elizabeth McMahan and niece, Mary Hamilton.
