Lois I Koepp

Lois I. Koepp, 77 of Grand Island, died Sunday, July 12, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society Grand Island Village.

Services will be 10:30 A.M. Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Grace Lutheran Church in Wood River. Interment will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park. The Reverend James Fandrey will be officiating.

Visitation will be from 5-7 P.M. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church in Wood River. Memorials are suggested to Grace Lutheran Church or the Wood River Centennial Foundation in lieu of flowers.

Lois was born on February 9, 1938 in Big Springs, Nebraska to Floyd and Dorothy (Reck) Clement. She moved to Scotia, Nebraska when she was 1 year old graduated from Scotia Consolidated High School in 1955. Lois then moved to Grand Island, Nebraska and was united in marriage to Robert Koepp on December 18, 1960. She helped her husband on the farm and cared for their 2 children. She also worked for the telephone company for 3 years and Southern Power District for 5 years.

She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, the Eagles Club, Saddle Club, Platt Duetsche Society, and she was a charter member of the Wood River Country Club.

Lois devoted her life to her handicapped daughter, Lori. She was active in special Olympics, therapeutic horseback riding, the Mosaic, and many other activities. Lori passed away on March 11, 2015.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Robert Bob Koepp of Grand Island; son and daughter-in-law, Kyle and Sally Koepp of Wood River; grandsons, Tyler Koepp and his wife, Rosalie of Wood River, Garrett Koepp, and Trevor Koepp, all of Wood River; sisters and brothers-in-law, Leona and Charles Patrick of Vancouver, Canada and Ruby and David Ashley of Pueblo, CO; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Nadene Clement of Brighton, CO; numerous nieces, nephews, and loving friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and precious daughter, Lorinda Lee Lori Koepp.
