Hastings resident, Leona Blanche Augustine, 87, died Thursday, September 4, 2008 at the Midwest Homestead of Hastings,NE. Services will be Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at 10 AM at Brand-Wilson Chapel, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Harold D. Stromer officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Monday, September 8, 2008 from 12 noon to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Leona was born August 20, 1921 to William and Maria Louise (Blomenkamp) Stromer on a farm near Glenvil, NE. She moved from Glenvil to Hastings and attended Robares Beauty School after graduation she started her own Beauty Shop in her home. She married Stanley Augustine, he passed away October 22, 1986. She was a member of the First St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Hastings, NE. She is survived by 1 sister, Pearl Reiner of Lincoln, NE, 2 nieces and 3 nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Stanley, 5 sisters, and 1 brother. Memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital Hospice, Hastings, NE.
