Larry Dale Opp

Larry D. Opp, 75 of Alda died Thursday, October 20, 2016 at his home.



Family will greet friends from 4-6 P.M. Thursday at Apfel Funeral Home in Wood River. A Private Inurnment will be in the Wood River Cemetery.



Larry was born on September 2, 1941 in Alda, Nebraska to Hank and Ruby (King) Opp. He grew up in Alda and received his education in Wood River. He was united in marriage to Mary Kay Wigstone in Grand Island. The couple lived in Alda where he was employed by Grand Island Optical. He also ran a retail business, Fashion Eye Land. He farmed and raised cattle.



Survivors include his wife, Mary Kay Opp of Alda; and 2 grandchildren, Stephanie Marie Melnick and Steven Mark Melnick.



He was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Kimberly Marie Melnick.
