Khampheua Xayarath

Khampheua Xayarath, 78, of Grand Island died Thursday, February 24 at Nebraska Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 4 at 1 p.m. at Apfel Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 on Thursday, March 3.

Khampheua was born on October 6, 1943 in Laos to Siengin and Linla Xayarath. He grew up in Laos and was later united in marriage to Bountheng Chanhthaluxay. Khampheau was employed by JBS and found joy through his hobbies of fishing, hunting, and gardening.

He is survived by his wife Bountheng; Sons; Phonsavanh, Cy, and Phanasay; five grandchildren and sister Bounhoam Xayarath.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Vitanha; brothers, Oun, Ouan, Houa, and Sung.
