Kenneth D. Ballard

Kenneth D. Ballard, 54, of Giltner died February 16, 2019 at CHI Health CUMC – Bergan Mercy in Omaha. The memorial service will be 11 AM, Friday, February 22, 2019 at the Giltner United Methodist Church with Pastor Kathy Uldrich officiating. Inurnment will be in the Giltner Cemetery at a later date.

Kenneth was born on March 3, 1964 in Grand Island to Donald and Loretta (Juett) Ballard. He grew up in Giltner and graduated from Giltner High School.

Kenneth entered the Army in 1982 and he was honorably discharged in 1986.

Kenneth was united in marriage to Sandra (Skeen) Ballard on October 8, 2005 in Grand Island. The family then made their home in Giltner where Kenneth was employed by Stettner, Inc. out of Hampton.

One of Kenneth’s greatest joys was being able to spend time with his grandchildren and special niece and nephew Kaley and Ethan Ballard.

Kenneth is survived in death by his spouse, Sandra; daughters, Jessica (Michael) Parker and Kenya (Josh) Sanderson; grandchildren, Hayden Parker, Lily Parker, Ava Parker, Spencer Skeen; brother, Tom Ballard; sister, Barb Ballard; and many nephews and nieces.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Theresa Ray; and brother, Rodney Ballard.
