Joyce Ogden

Joyce Ann Ogden, 73, of Cozad, formerly of Grand Island, died Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at Cozad Care Center, Cozad, NE.

Services will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, January 20, 2018 at Apfel Funeral Home with Derek Apfel, CFC. officiating. Burial will be in Scotia Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the family. Apfel Funeral Home is caring for the family.

Joyce Ann Ogden was born, October 14, 1944 in Grand Island, Nebraska the daughter of Melvin & Mary (Miller) Friedrichsen. She received her education and grew to womanhood in Grand Island, graduating from Grand Island Senior High with the class of 1963.

She was united in marriage to Russell Ogden, January 29th, 1965. The couple made their home in Grand Island where she was a homemaker. Russell preceded her in death, December 1, 1999.

Joyce was a member of Cozad Methodist Church and Elks Lodge Auxiliary in Cozad.

She enjoyed playing cards, bingo, dancing and marbles.

Those left to cherish her memory include three sons & daughter-in-law. Rusty & Dawn Odgen of Hampton, NE, Rickey Odgen & Dwayne Odgen, one daughter, Connie Casares all of Grand Island, three brothers, Melvin Friedrichsen, Roger Friedrichsen and Jimmy Friedrichsen all of Grand Island, one sister, Ruby Dorsey of Cozad, NE along with numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin & Mary Friedrichsen, her husband, Russell Ogden, brother, Ray and sisters, Barbara & Bonnie Lechleitner.
