Josh Paul Placzek

God took our hero, Josh Placzek, 37 of Grand Island to his heavenly home on Thursday, July 31, 2014. Josh passed peacefully in his sleep and is no longer suffering from Muscular Dystrophy.



Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 4, 2014 at St. Marys Catholic Church, Wood River with the Rev. Anthony Madhichetti officiating. Burial will be in St. Marys Catholic Cemetery, Wood River, Nebraska. Visitation hours will be 4-7 p.m. Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island with the rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the Muscular Dystrophy Association or the Grand Island Special Olympics. The family requests guests dress in Nebraska Husker or Chicago Cubs Attire in honor of Josh. Apfel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
