Josephine Dietrich

August 18, 1922 — April 28, 2019

Josephine E. Dietrich, 96, of Grand Island passed away Sunday, April 28, 2019, at the home of her daughter in Medford, N.J.



Born in Grand Island, she was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of Grand Island High School in 1940. She was a member of Trinity Methodist Church, the women’s circles of Trinity and a member of the Women’s International Bowling Congress.



Josephine enjoyed bowling, cooking, playing cards, reading, puzzles, spending time with her family, and was a tea enthusiast. She was predeceased by her husband, Adolph, in 1986.



She is survived by her daughter, Barbara (Antonio) Beltran; two granddaughters, Caroline Thron and Lillie Beltran; a great-grandson, Brayden Thron; seven nieces, Patricia, Dana, Denise, Sharon, Ruth, Susan and Ruth Ann; and five nephews, Lee, John, Craig, Bill and Bob.



Relatives and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and again on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services at 10:30 at Apfel Funeral Home, 1123 W. Second St., in Grand Island. Interment will follow in Grand Island City Cemetery.
