James L. Rhodes

Kenesaw resident, James L. Rhodes, 63, passed away, Monday, June 27, 2016 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings.

Services will be Friday, July 1, 2016 at 10:30 am at the United Methodist Church in Kenesaw, NE with Rev; Dr. Lee Wigert officiating. Burial will be in the Kenesaw Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, June 30, 2016 from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Apfel Funeral Home, Kenesaw. Casual dress is requested. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.apfelfuneralhome.com. Apfel Funeral Home, Kenesaw is in charge of the arrangements.

Memorials may be given to the family.

James was born March 25, 1953 to James O. and Frances M. (Powell) Rhodes in Beloit, KS. He attended Kenesaw High School. He was self-employed as a contractor. He enjoyed collecting old movies, traveling and his flower garden.

He is survived by, one son, Jeff (Brandi)Rhodes of York, three daughters, Carie of Kearney, and Crystal and Katie of Hastings, eight grandchildren, four sisters, Judy Graham of Prosser, Peggy McKimmey, Nancy (Jim) Kennedy and Debby Krontz (John) all of Kenesaw, fiance Laurie Carson and her daughter Ashley both of Hastings.



He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Kathy Keeler.
