Ismael "Mike" Quintana

Ysmael F. “Mike” Quintana, 67, of Grand Island, NE passed away Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at CHI Health St. Francis in Grand Island. Funeral services will be 10 AM Monday, April 12th at Abundant Life Christian Center in Grand Island with Pastor Jason Warriner officiating. A burial will follow in the Kearney City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM on Sunday, April 11th at Abundant Life Christian Center. Apfel Funeral Home is assisting the family.



He was born on June 1, 1953 in Kearney, Nebraska to Meliton and Consuelo (Fuentes) Quintana. He grew up in Kearney. He was united in marriage to Anna Serafina Parra Quintana on September 22, 1984 in Shelton, Nebraska. After which the couple lived in Grand Island. The family has also lived in Kearney and the surrounding communities.



He is survived by his wife, Anna Sarafina Parra Quintana; son, Odguar P. Quintana; daughter, Mayra P. Romo; 11 grandchildren and five great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond Quintana, Cruz Quintana and Pete Ruiz; sisters, Lupe Vega, Margie Gutierrez, and Lillian Quintana.



He was preceded in death by his parents, Meliton Molina Quintana and Consuela Fuentes Quintana; brothers, Ernesto Quintana, Tony Quintana and Johnny Quintana.
