Hastings resident, Lula Hillman, 82, died Monday, March 17, 2008 at the Villa, GSV. Memorial service will be Friday, March 21, 2008 at 11 AM at All Saints Chapel, GSV, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Charles Johnson officiating. Her body was cremated. Book signing will be Thursday, March 20, 2008 from 8 AM to 5 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home and Cremation. Lula was born August 10, 1925 to Eddie C. and Rose Lee (Davis) Brown in Scotland County, MO. She graduated from high school in Unionville, MO. She married Ralph Hillman April 26, 1947; They lived in Deshler, NE until moving to Hastings, NE in 1953. Lula was a homemaker. She was a member Faith Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE. She is survived by 2 Daughters, Kathy Hromadka and husband Gary of Hastings, NE, and Sherry Connor and husband James of Nacogdoches, TX. 4 grandchildren, Frank and wife Stacey Hromadka of Kearney, NE, Timothy Hromadka, of Hastings, NE. Angie Brewer and husband Jeff of Nacogdoches, TX. Hollie and husband Chad Thompson of Gatesville,TX, 2 great grandchildren, Cody Hromadka of Kearney, NE, Alexander Thompson, Gatesville, TX. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph, he died March 24, 1999, 3 brothers and 1 sister. Memorials may be given to donors choice.
