Helen Yost

Nebraska native and former long time Harvard and Lincoln resident, Helen Yost, 91, of San Antonio, Texas, died Friday, Sept. 19, 2008, in San Antonio, TX at the Army Residence Community. Memorial services will be Saturday, October 18, 2008, 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church, Harvard, NE. Condolence may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Helen was born April 9, 1917 in Butte, Nebraska to Ed and Sophie Briggs. She moved with her family to Harvard and graduated from Harvard High School in 1935. On March 11, 1938 she married Carl R. Yost in St. Joseph, MO. They had 3 children. She is survived by a son Carl R. Yost Jr. and his wife Carolyn of Carmel, IN and a daughter Nancy Thorell and her husband Dennis of Lexington, NE, 8 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, sister-in-laws Delores Yost of Harvard,NE and Lois Kreutz of Phillips,NE, brother-in-laws Glenn Yost of Gurnee, IL, Gene and Barbara Yost of Cleveland, TN, and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death her husband, a daughter Judith Ann Yost Crabtree and her husband Jon Gary Crabtree, her parents, a sister Mary Shriner and two brothers Clayton and Don, Also, sister-in-laws Violet Yost, Erma Simmons and Darlene Yost, brother-in-laws Bill Yost, Dick Kreutz and Tom Simmons.
