November 24, 1934 — March 16, 2008

Hastings resident, Harold D. Fricke, 73, died Sunday, March 16, 2008 at his home after a lengthy illness. Services will be Thursday, March 20, 2008 at 11 AM at the Grace United Methodist Church, Hastings, NE. Burial will be at a later date at the Blue Valley Cemetery.. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 19, 2008 from 5 PM to 9 PM with the family present from 6 PM to 8 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Harold was born, November 24, 1934 to Albert and Frances (Paulick) Fricke in Hastings, NE. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1952; He married Janyce Heyen on December 11, 1956. Harold worked for Hastings Irrigation Pipe Co, Farmland Industries and then farmed and ranched in the Hastings area and was part owner of Hastings Welding Co. He then worked for T & L Irrigation as an international service tech for 21 years retiring in 2003. He was a past member of the Army Reserves, Southern Hills Country Club, Coach of the YMCA Christian Youth Basketball League. He was an elder and deacon of the Second Presbyterian Church and taught Sunday school and was involved in the youth program. He was a past member of the Water for Life in Haiti, a present member of Grace United Methodist Church in Hastings, NE. He is survived by his wife Jaynce, 1 son, Timothy of Lincoln, NE, 1 daughter, Debra Moore of Mesa, Arizona, 2 grandsons, Nicholas and Riley Fricke of Lincoln, NE, 2 granddaughters, Madison Fricke of Lincoln, NE and Samantha Moore of Mesa, Arizona, brother, Dr. Donald C. Fricke and spouse Judy of Lincoln, NE, brother and sister in laws, Mary Heyen of Discovery Bay, CA, Dick and Mary Heyen of Monroe, NC, Bob and Marty Heyen of Thornton CO, Jerry and Jan Heyen of Yakima, Washington, Tom Heyen of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Jim and Sharon Heyen of Hastings, NE and Jerry and Jacquie Grinstead of Rancho Margarita, CA, many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Harold will be welcomed in heaven by his parents, father and mother in law, Harry and Mildred Heyen, brother in law Harry Heyen Jr and his aunt Lorraine Pence. Memorials may be given to the Grace United Methodist Church Family Life Center or Mary Lanning Hospice.
