Gumaro Javier Ruiz Walters

Hastings resident, Gumaro Javier Ruiz Walters, 6, passed away in a house fire on Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at his home. Services will be Tuesday, January 5, 2010 at 1:30 PM at the Lakeside Community Church Of The Nazarene, Hastings, NE with Major Abe Tamayo officiating. Book signing will be Monday, January 4, 2010 from 12 noon to 5 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Gumaro was born November 25, 2003 to Gumaro Ruiz Guzman and LaTosha Walters in Hastings, NE. He was a 1st grader at Alcott Grade School; Hastings, NE. He attended the Salvation Army Church, in Hastings, NE. Gumaro loved school and was always proud of his school work. He is survived by his mother, of Hastings, NE and father, 2 sisters, Sylvia and Leticia Walters, at home, grandmother, Marsha Walters, of Hastings, NE, grandfather, Marty Crow of Grand Island, NE. great grandmother, Marie Walters of Hastings, NE and great grandfather, and great grandmother, Paul and Jo Crow of Grand Island, NE. He was preceded in death by his step-father, Jose Toban Alcaide and sister, Angelita Belen Sanchez Walters. Memorials may be given to the family.
