Hastings resident, Frank H. White, Jr. 87, died Monday, June 23, 2008 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital, Hastings, NE. Services will be Friday, June 27, 2008 at 10 AM at the First Congregational United Church of Christ, Hastings, NE with the Rev. Barry Rempp officiating.. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Thursday, June 26, 2008 from 9 AM to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Frank was born December 21, 1920 to Frank H. Sr. and Mary H. (Young) White, in Hudson, New York. He graduated from Hudson High School in 1939. He attended Interlochen School in Traverse City, MI studying music. He served in the Army Air Force during WWII, stationed in Seattle, New Jersey and Harvard Air Base where he met Charlotte. He married Charlotte M. Bierbower. September 20, 1945. He moved to Hastings in 1946 and was a custodian for 33 years for the Hastings Public Library. He worked at the Gingerbread Day Care Center and he was known as Grandpa Frank there for 13 years. He was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Hastings, NE, and a charter member of the Hastings Community Theatre. He is survived by his wife Charlotte of Hastings, NE. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorials may be given to First Congregational United Church of Christ, Hastings, NE.
