Hastings resident, Elizabeth Fink, 90, passed away Monday, April 16, 2012 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare; Hastings, NE. Services will be Friday, April 20, 2012 at 10:30 am at the Peace Lutheran Church, Hastings, NE with Rev. Marcus Mackay officiating. Burial will be at 3 pm on Friday at the Wyuka Cemetery in Lincoln, NE. Visitation will be Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 12 noon to 9 pm with the family present from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Memorials may be given to the Peace Lutheran Church, Hastings, Ne. She was born on September 9, 1921, in Lincoln, NE to Susanna M. (Limbeck) and Louis H. Pflug. She married Erving P. Fink October 18, 1943 in Lincoln, NE he passed away March 6, 2002. Elizabeth was the executive secretary to the president at City National Bank in Hastings, NE for more than 25 years. She was an unwavering supporter of the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers. She was an avid sports fan, especially following college and professional football and tennis. She faithfully tended her many flowers, especially her prized iris, in her garden over the years. Elizabeth was a member at Peace Lutheran Church in Hastings, NE. She is survived by her son, Dr. William L. Fink and daughter-in-law, Mari Fink, and grand-daughters Susan A. Fink and Cathy E. FinkJohnson and husband Ivan FinkJohnson, and brother and sister-in-law, John and Shirley Pflug. She was preceded in death by her husband Erving and siblings William, Fred, and Mildred.
