Hastings resident, Elfreda M. (Kile) Boo, 66, passed away Friday, December 14, 2012, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, in Hastings, Nebraska. Mass of Christine burial will be Thursday, December 20, 2012 at 10 am at St. Cecilias Catholic Church, Hastings, NE with Father Joseph Walsh officiating. Rosary will be Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 7 pm at Brand-Wilson Funeral Home Chapel, Hastings, NE with Father Joseph Walsh officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association. Elfreda was born April 11, 1946 in Hastings to Perry and Germaine (Sullivan) Kile. She grew up with her family in Blue Hill and later Bladen. She graduated from Bladen High School in 1964. After graduation, she moved to Hastings. She worked at Good Samaritan Village and then at Hastings Regional Center until she retired. On October 24, 1986 she married Jerry Boo. They made their home in Hastings until her death. Survivors include her husband, Jerry, son, Tim Kile of Omaha, daughter and son-in-law, Nannette and Dean Stromer of Hastings, 2 granddaughters, Chloe and Sophie Stromer of Hastings, sisters, Doris Woods and Barbara Garvin of Hastings, sisters-in-law, Janet Kile of Red Cloud, Judy Ackland and husband, Lenny of Omaha, Annette Marget and husband, Jim of Fairmont, brother-in-law, Jim Boo and wife, Sheri of Almena, Kansas, numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Elfreda is preceded in death by her parents; infant sister, Mary; brothers, Bill and Eldon Kile.
