Elba Mejia

Elba Mejia, 69 of Grand Island, died Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at CHI St. Francis Health in Grand Island.

Funeral Services will be 7:30 P.M. Friday, October 14, 2016 at the Iglesia Ebenezer Church - 502 E. Capital Avenue, Grand Island, NE. Graveside Services will be 10:30 A.M. Saturday at the Cedarview Cemetery in Doniphan, NE.

Visitation will be from 6:00 -7:30 P.M. Friday at the church. Family and friends are also gathering at Apfel Funeral Home from 9:00 10:00 A.M. Saturday prior to the Graveside Service. Memorials are suggested to the family.

Elba was born on September 9, 1947 in Honduras. She grew up in San Pedro, Sula. She worked for McCain Foods in Grand Island.

Survivors include her sons, Luis, Jarit, and Walter Mejia; and daughter, Suyapa Gonzalez; 11 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
