Douglas L. Jacoby

Grand Island resident, Douglas L. Jacoby, 60, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2009 at the Kenesaw Haven Home, Kenesaw, NE. Graveside service will be Friday, July 3, 2009 at 1 PM at the Nebraska Veterans Cemetery, in Grand Island; NE. Book signing will be Thursday, June 2, 2009 from 9 AM to 5 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE. Condolences may be sent to the family from www.brandwilson.com. Douglas was born June 7, 1949 to Lloyd and Ellen Marie (Chew) Jacoby in Grand Island, NE. He graduated from the Grand Island High School, Grand Island, NE in 1967. He joined the Air Force in June 23, 1970 and was honorably discharged on March 29, 1974. He was a dental lab technician in Grand Island, NE, and at Fort Riley, KS, from 1980 until his retirement. At the time of his death he was living at the Haven Home in Kenesaw, NE. He is survived by three children, Melissa Ford of Odessa, MO, Chris Jacoby and wife Amy of Blue Springs, MO, and David Jacoby and wife Amy of Independence, MO, and 6 grand children. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother. Memorials may be given to the family.
