Doris L. Stewart

Hastings resident, Doris Louise Stewart, 85, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2009 at Perkins Pavilion, Good Samaritan Society, Hastings-Village. Services will be Wednesday, October 21, 2009 at 1 PM at the All Saints Chapel, GSS, Hastings-Village with Rev. Charles Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, NE. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 20, 2009 from 5 PM to 9 PM at the Brand-Wilson Funeral Home, Hastings, NE and one hour prior to the service at the All Saints Chapel. Condolences may be sent to the family from, www.brandwilson.com. Doris was born January 22, 1924 to Ross and Katherine (Erdman) Blaylock in Smith Center, Kansas. She graduated from St. Francis High School in 1942 in St. St. Francis, KS. She moved from Phillipsburg, Kansas to Hastings, NE in 1953. She married Lynn C. Stewart, on June 7, 1947, he passed away in 2003. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, in Hastings, NE. Doris was a homemaker. She is survived by 1 son, Steve Stewart and wife Carol of Castle Rock, CO, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, 2 sisters, Connie Blaylock of Smith Center, KS, and Elizabeth Bieber of Norton, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Lynn, and a son Ron. Memorials may be given to the American Heart Association.
