Darrel G. Rewerts

Doniphan resident, Darrel G. Rewerts, 69, died Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at his home. Graveside services will be Monday, May 12, 2008 at 11 AM with Rev. Jocelyn Tupper officiating at the Rosedale Cemetery, Rosedale, NE with military rites by the Doniphan post #300. Book signing will be at the graveside service on Monday. Darrel was born November 5, 1938 to Francis and Elfrieda (Papenhagen) Rewerts in rural Adams County. He married Patricia Pisczek on July 2, 1960 in California. He served in the US Army from November 27, 1956 to November 26, 1962. He was a salesman for AAA Auto Club in Southern California for many years. He sold water equipment and spas in his later years. He refinished antiques and furniture. He had lived in the Doniphan area for 31 years coming from California. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Doniphan, NE. He is survived by his wife Patricia, of Doniphan, 2 sons, Jeffrey Rewerts and wife Christine of Doniphan, NE. and Gregory Rewerts and wife Diane of Longmont, CO, 1 brother Curtis Rewerts of Fairhope, Alabama, 2 grandchildren, Matthew and Kayla and 1 great grandson, Keegan. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Coleen. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the Cancer Fund or Heart Fund.
