Catherine "Cathy Richardson" M. Richardson

The angels came to take Catherine Cathy M. Richardson, 62, of Grand Island home on Saturday, June 13, 2015, at CHI Health St. Francis, Grand Island.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island. The Rev. Michael Reiners will officiate. Burial will be in the Grand Island Cemetery.

Visitation will be at 9 a.m. prior to the service Friday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Integrated Life Choices.

Cathy was born Nov. 18, 1952, at Portsmouth, Va., the daughter of Eugene M. and Doris L. (Dieken) Richardson. She received her education and grew to womanhood in Grand Island. She lived at Mid Nebraska Individual Services until 2011, when she moved to Integrated Life Choices.

Cathy attended Peace Lutheran Church with her family.

She spent the last four years with her host family and was working through ILC. She enjoyed going to work, spending time with her family and doing beading.

Those left to cherish her memory include her adopted family, Sarah Taylor and husband, Dustin, children, Taylynn and Brekin, Lisa Wieczorek and husband, Mike, and children, Kendall and Kaylan.
