Carol L. Moeller

Carol L. Moeller, 62, of Grand Island died Thursday, July 20, 2017 at CHI Health St. Francis in Grand Island.



Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Island. The Rev. Adam Snoberger will officiate.



Family will greet friends from 4 to 7 P.M. Tuesday at the Apfel Funeral Home in Grand Island.



Carol L. Moeller was born April 26, 1955, at Sidney, Nebraska to Wayne and Joyce (Sunderman) Stearley.



Carol grew up in Grand Island and attended Trinity Lutheran School. She graduated from Grand Island Senior High in 1973. She continued her education in the nursing program at Kearney State College.



Carol worked as a nurse at Lutheran Memorial Hospital and later at Park Place Nursing Center. She most recently worked at Midwest Communications.



She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, and volunteered at CHI Health St. Francis in the cardiac rehab unit.



She was active in many sports in her younger days.



Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or the donors choice.



Carol is survived by three sisters, Susan Hunter of Omaha, Peggy Felton of Omaha and Brenda LaCost of Madison, WI; her step-mother, Helen Stearley of Grand Island; uncles and aunts, Tom and Deb Stearley of Grand Island, Daryl and Monica Stearley of Ogallala and Betty James of Idaho; numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.



She was preceded in death by her parents; her twin sister, Cheryl Thompson; and niece, Samantha Stearley.
