Carl F Bundy

At Our Kenesaw, Jackson-Wilson Location. Former Kenesaw resident, Carl F. Bundy, 96 died Friday July 25, 2008 at St. Lukes Good Sam VLG of Kearney. Services are 2:00 P. M. Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at Presbyterian Church in Kenesaw with Pastor Wayne Owen officiating. Burial will be at Kenesaw Cemetery in Kenesaw. Visitation 9a.m. to 9p.m. on Monday, Tuesday 9a.m. to noon at Jackson-Wilson Funeral Home in Kenesaw. Also one hour prior to services at church. Memorials go to family choice. Carl was born January 30, 1912 to Frederick F. & Nora (Deaver) Bundy in Hastings. His family moved to Gibbon when he was 7 years old. He then went to school until the 9th grade at Gibbon High School. Later he married Arlien Ernst, April 29, 1937 at Hastings. Carl and his wife moved to Denman where Carl worked for Arlien parents on a Sugar Beet Farm. He moved his family to Kenesaw in the spring of 1948 when he went to work for Don Schneider as a painter and was there for 12 years. In 1960 he started to work for Johnson-Cash-way in Kearney as a painter. In 1964 he then went to work for Johnson-Cash-way in Hastings as a painter. He painted many home in Hastings and Grand Island area. Carl & his wife had 3-children one daughter Sandra McConnell of Kearney, 2-sons: LeRoy Bundy of Lexington, Okla. and Gary Bundy of Hooper, NE. 10 Grandchildren, 19 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great-grandchildren: Two sisters: Margaret Shiers of Gibbon and Iris Smith of Zachary, Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his wife who died January 21, 1998, one grandchild, 6-brothers: James, Martin, Paul, Roger, Loren, & Curtis. He was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Kenesaw.
